1. 100% Vegan and Ph Neural
Vegan shampoo is therefore an animal-friendly alternative to many shampoos that you can find in the store. Many shampoos contain animal products, even if it may not seem obvious. Keratin is a common ingredient in shampoos and is extracted from hooves and bones. Lactic acids are another example, you can get them from blood, muscles and milk. Fortunately, it is no longer possible in Europe today to buy a shampoo that has been tested on animals or contains animal products. If the product is indeed European approved, which is the case with our products. BV. Our shampoo all coats: Animal health registration number: 10609-H / Registration number: HCM-MUZ-10054. None of our products contain animal products and are tested.
Even better, our vegan shampoos in 'soap blocks' and powder form that we offer are an even better example of vegan. These soap blocks are also called shampoo bars. The big advantage of shampoo bars is that the plastic shampoo bottles become superfluous, so that you also think about the smallest animals. The tiniest micro-organisms often feed on nano-plastics unnoticed. Since these micro-organisms are at the beginning of the food chain, I don't need to explain that it ends up on our own plates.
Regular shampoos have higher levels of acidity which, if used frequently, can damage your dog's skin. There is a thin film layer over the skin of every animal and human, which protects the top layer of the skin. This layer has a certain acidity.
The pH of human skin is between 5.2 and 6.2 while that of dogs ranges from 5.5 to 7.5. Shampoo that is tailored to the pH of humans is therefore too acidic for dogs. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14: 0 is very acidic, 14 is very basic. The film layer on the skin is important to protect against external influences. If this layer is not there or is damaged by constantly washing with the wrong shampoo, micro-organisms can run their course. In addition, the skin can become itchy, flaky and irritated.
Especially if you regularly wash with the wrong shampoo, a vicious circle can arise: due to the aggressive shampoo there is a disturbance, the dog starts scratching and itching, bacteria easily get into the skin that causes the dog to smell increasingly stronger, causing you to wash more. Then the whole party starts all over again. For all the reasons, we place very high demands on the PH level of our shampoos.

    2. Paraben free and no silicone
Parabens prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria. Without preservatives, you can use products for a much shorter period of time. Although the synthetic material does not irritate the skin, there are suspicions that parabens mimic the action of estrogen, which could cause hormonal disturbances.

How do you know if it contains parabens?
To check if your favorite products contain parabens, take a few minutes to read our list of ingredients on our labels. You will not find the following fabrics; methylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben or isoparaben. You will find the composition of our products with every shampoo, in the webshop, with every product under the heading 'certificates and composition.
You can recognize silicone in shampoos by suffixes such as -siloxane, -conol or -cone. There is one exception and that is cyclomethicone. This type of silicone ensures that your hair remains airy and at the same time easy to comb. With each product in detail, here on the site, you will find the composition of the product under 'Information'. This way you can perfectly check whether our products contain silicone. The healthy look hair gets with silicone is not real, silicones are not nutrients. Non-water soluble silicones cause build-up (layers of products that build up in your hair) Some silicones make your hair heavy and lifeless. Our silicone-free shampoos contain precious plant extracts such as aloe vera.  These natural ingredients combined with other precious regenerating and nourishing ingredients that replenish the proteins in the hair while also moisturizing it, provide a feather-light voluminous effect – without weighing your hair down or fading the color.

  3. Not tested on animals
Petuxe is part of Valquer, a large company that develops cosmetic products for humans, but also produces one for other large cosmetic companies. That is why they are double checked, especially when it comes to testing. So they have the years of experience in testing their products. It is not legal to test on animals inside and outside the EU, according to EU legislation from 2013. We are certified with ISO 14001, which verifies good manufacturing practices.
